realizations unrealized

i dream, i frown and i wander
a voiceless answer, if i think misery,
and worry about horrible circumstances
i check the weather to see what will be

if i call and there is no return
if i cry and my tears are alone
what can i create to show my hurt
i can mix the colors but there is no depth
no mountain to see the drop

i visulize my thoughts hoping the universe tells me
wrong.
i imagine, based on reality. i take your face,
trace your expressions in my memory
i listen to words stated so casually
revealing the black soul fostering the hardened heart
the desire to win when there is no battle

a blue sky travels fleetingly
indicates this is another time, no marks for wasting
do not play this game, because no one wins

i cannot absorb others
tiny signs reminding me of love
allow for sanity
to realize the nowness

sprinkle some
on

loudness
without voice
suddenly a light
shouted from the sky
and the crack made me jump

raindrops with noise
not hitting the roof

so i picked up some
lipstick
to make a point
a vain way to say
i have voice with
color

and the music
drives a voice
i have yet to explore

exists

the smoke of memories

as i smell the lingering
of the pear once so sweet
a sourness prevails
and i think of the children
life, dreams and happiness

i try to find the right pink
because once it came so
naturally to me
the innocence of color remaining

so i slice the rays
of sunshine with my
hand
i grasp to a memory
so fleeting i might
have imagined it
a life full of these
and i am now
a flush

decisions so beyond
my control
life and death
i never willed
but pain i felt

in the middle of green
i found yellow
i walk the line
right is north
south to the left
do not cross
be safe

based on eyes
ears
voices
control with no remorse
guilt woven without consequences
lingering doubts
relief nonexistent

l walked to the bridge
the water rippled
caused by the rocks below
like life
we cannot move
without others
using a paddle
to create waves

a thread

so i pulled a thread
and not thinking about the end
or the beginning
just a thread

and as i pulled
i found tangles
and knots
and some of the thread
pulled easily
so i continued
to pull

there were shades of black
colors of red
and blues
some yellows
a lot of white
as the string came lose

my life became
a line
only distinguished
by the start
and stops
the shades of color
but i continued on

and all of a sudden
i saw the end
and i knew
just as i had pulled
through
i could not stop
and i continued on
